For the first time ever in country aspiring animators can now pursue degree course in animation with India and USA recognized degree at the International School of Animation.
Announcing the launch of this prestigious project here today Aneet, Goel, CFO, IPOMG Animation India said that the school is a subsidiary of IPOMG, LLC Globally and is in joint venture collaboration with two world recognized educational institutions, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, India (JNTUH) and Ferris State University, USA (FSU).
Ajay Yalamanchi, President, IPOMG, Globally flanked by R Raja, Head Academics (International), Ferris State University, USA and Anil Aranha Director Education ISA said that the International School of Animation for the first time in history of professional progammes in India would offer degree in Bachelors of Science in Digital Animation and Game Design (DAGD).
“The programme has many firsts to its credit. It is valid and recognized both in India and USA widening the scope of employment for students,” revealed Goel.
School would have an all American faculty teethed with academic and industry experience. The curriculum of this degree course has been specially designed and developed in coordination with FSU.
This school would also have a large scale foreign student exchange program wherein students from off-shore campuses can mingle with Indian students and vice-versa.
“We understand that animation and game design is one the fastest growing careers demanding an influx of professionals to meet ever expanding demand, especially in media,” pointed out Ajay Yalamanchi.
The school offers internships in the industry in India or USA, which aims at bringing together industry and academia to service the real world. “Internship is a valuable experience for both the students and companies. It acquaints students with dynamic workforce settings. In fact many top performers today have started their career as interns,” he added.
Classes would be taken at campus coming up near Chandigarh at Shiva Enclave on Chandigarh – Kurali road. “For practical we would be sending our students to Hanger-42 Studio Los Angeles and Ramoji Film City Hyderabad. These are the state-of-the-art studios known to have churned out masterpieces in animation industry,” Goel pointed out.
During practical students would be attached for production with international agencies as well. Apart from the classrooms of international standard, campus at Shiva Enclave would house a studio matching the one at America.
ISA would offer four years course after +2 that includes three years of campus study and a year of practical. Two years masters’ degree would be allowed after completion B Sc in DAGD. Besides degree, there would also be four kinds of diploma courses spread over period of six months to two years.
