Grandparents’ birthday celebrated at Gurukul School
Gurukul Global School kids celebrate their grandparents birthday

Chandigarh, February 3, 2010.
Sanskaar - the grandparents club of Gurukul Global School celebrated birthday of its members with a havan at school premises.
Those grandparents whose birthday fall in January month were made yajmaans and they performed hawan rituals with the students of class VI, K.G and other members of Sanskaar. Prayers were offered to seek blessings of almighty.
Grandparents offered aahuti amidst chanting of holy hymns spreading wave of spirituality amongst all. The students of class VI greeted and interacted with grandparents. The birthday “boys and girls” cut cakes too.
Speaking at the occasion, school principal Aruna Bhardwaj said that Sanskaar is an initiative of Gurukul Global School to keep grandparents updated about their grandkids, in a away cementing the bond between two.
“It is an endeavor to make grandparents an integral part of Gurukul Global family and provide them with an opportunity to relish some memorable moments with children by being a part of various school activities,” she said.
Besides involving grandparents in these activities, school also extends them facilities like access to library, school lawns and sports facilities.
Arna added that grandparents are an anchor in a child’s life and at Gurukul school wishes to empower children by imbibing these ethics and ideals through a free minded interaction with grandparents.
Grandparents enjoyed limelight and their interaction with young minds. They felt happy and honored being given so much of importance.
One grandmother expressed her joy and gratitude towards school for this wonderful initiative. She also enlightened children about pollution and its harmful effects. All grandparents went back happy with a promise to meet every month to celebrate this oneness.
