2300 participate in AIEEE ’10 mock test at Rayat - Bahra institute
Overwhelming participation marks mock AIEEE test at Rayat - Bahra institute

Mohali, January 10: Mock AIEEE-2010 test organized by Rayat - Bahra at Rayat-Bahra Bio Technology Centre of Excellence here today received an overwhelming response with over 2300 students from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and surrounding region participating. Aimed at testing skills ahead of AIEEE ’10, the mock test was organized free of cost with a bounty of prizes aimed at encouraging the students.
Special arrangements like pick up and dropping facility for hundreds of students from various locations in and around Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula were made for the test which started early in the day. Informing about the immensely successful mock test S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Vice Chairman, Rayat- Bahra group said that not only free test and facilities provided were an added feature but a bounty of prizes worth over Rs 2.5 lakhs attracted students who tested waters ahead of AIEEE. Students were offered prizes including laptops, PCs, TVs, and scientific calculators besides tuition fee waiver commitments ranging from 25% to 100% waiver while studying in Rayat -Bahra institutes, informed Bahra.

While the topper of mock test to be declared soon would receive Laptop along with a 100% waiver on tuition fee at entry level while studying in any Rayat and Bahra institute. Second and third ranking students would get personal computers and a tuition fee waiver of 75% and 50% respectively while fourth position student would get colour TV and 25% tuition fee waiver offer. MP3 players and 25% tuition fee waiver in Rayat and Bahra institutes at entry level is for the students ranked between 5 and15. 35 Consolation prizes of scientific calculators, movie tickets and 25% tuition waiver benefits were also given.

Sardar Bahra further added that the group not only provides quality education but also encourages meritorious, physically challenged and other needy students by way of concessions. In addition to the scholarships awarded for mock test toppers, 50% tuition waivers are already being given to students whose parents are not alive or whose brother or sister are studying in Rayat - Bahra institute. Besides 25 % of tuition fee waive is being given to students whose father is not alive or to physically challenged students.

Bahra added that the group is striving for achieving excellence in academic sphere which is only feasible if talented students are not only acknowledged but awarded and nurtured by way of incentives as well.
