Gurukul Global School students visit church at X-mas celebrations

Chandigarh, December 24
The students of Gurukul Global School visited church in sector 19 Chandigarh as a part of ongoing X-mas celebrations in the school.
Students from pre-nursery to kindergarten classes, class I, II and III visited the church in batches with their teachers. Aruna Bhardwaj, Principal, Gurukul Global School said that the visit was a part of school’s efforts in reinforcing the spirit of oneness in children and teaching them equality of religions.
Going beyond its call of academics, the school asked students to bring their used toys. These toys were donated to under privileged Government Model High School sector 26, Chandigarh. Gurukul Global School has adopted this school under Chandigarh Administration’s AIE scheme. “This helped to inculcate sense of commitment in the young minds,” Bhardwaj pointed out.
At school, students celebrated Christmas with their parents. Tiny tots from nursery class staged a play detailing the arrival of Lord Jesus in the stable of Bethlehem. Students presented joyous carol singing. The students of class II presented a beautiful and elegant ballet dance.
The school campus also dazzled with beautiful Christmas trees decorated as a part of competition. Santa Claus blessed each and every student with little gifts as a mark of appreciation and love.
