Panasonic Corporation selects 64 from Rayat-Bahra


Panasonic Corporation holds placement drive at Rayat-Bahra

Mohali, August 31

World-renowned electronics company Panasonic Corporation India selected 64 students of Rayat-Bahra group of institutions during a placement drive held at Rayat-Bahra Bio-Technology Center of excellence.

Vice-chairman of Rayat – Bahra group S Gurvinder Singh said that it was matter of pride for the group that a core company like Panasonic Corporation India has visited any campus in this part of the country for first time ever.

“Officials were impressed with the quality of students and interviewed them for job profiles of mobile technology, research and development and manufacturing and assembling as well,” he added.

More than 400 students from all five engineering colleges of Rayat-Bahra group participated in the campus placement drive, which consisted of students of B Tech passing out in the year 2010. Students of computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering and information technology participated in this drive.

S S Kaura, assistant managing director, Rayat-Bahra Group said that students were selected as a trainee in electronics and software for six months with a package of Rs 2.2 lacs. After the completion of this period package amount would be 3.2 lakhs.

Senior manager technical re-sourcing, Panasonic Corporation Mr Somraj Dutta conducted a written test followed by power point presentation, group discussion and, HR interview. After final interview 64 students got offer letters.
