Placement Fortnight gets underway at Rayat -Bahra institute 

Mohali, February 20: One of the region’s biggest ever campus placement drive went underway here today at Rayat and Bahra institute with the beginning of placement fortnight at Sahauran campus. The fifteen day drive is all set to witness nation's top notch companies and multinationals scouting for requisite potential for their upcoming openings in various parts of India. The fortnight is estimated to select hundreds of recruits for companies including Infosys, Bank of America, DBS Cholamandlam, Royal Bank of Scotland, Standard Chartered, IDBI etc, informed Sardar Gurvinder Singh Bahra while addressing media persons here today on the occasion of beginning of the drive.

 

Sardar Bahra informed that in continuation of Rayat and Bahra group’s consistent endeavor to provide avenues to the passing out students the campus placement fortnight will offer unprecedented number of opportunities to the students. Beginning today the placement fortnight will conclude on March 7. Plenty of opportunities await young graduates and pass outs who will get impressive pay packages from renowned names in corporate world added Bahra.

 

While Infosys will offer opening packages to the tune of Rs 2.25 lacs per annum to the selected candidates, India Infoline a premium Stock Trading company is offering 50 0penings in Chandigarh and Ludhiana with immensely impressive pay packages of upto Rs. 1.44 lacs and incentives at entry level. Banking multinationals like Bank of America, DBS Cholamandlam, Royal Bank of Scotland, Standard Chartered, IDBI  etc are offering over 110 openings in NCR and Punjab with annual pay packages of upto Rs. 1.50 lacs, Rs. 1.80 lacs and Rs. 1.20 lacs respectively excluding incentives to passing out MBA and B.Tech students, informed Sardar Bahra. Bharti Axa Life Insurance and Kotak Life Insurance will offer 20 openings in Punjab with impressive offers while Security Solutions Company Group 4 Securities will select 10 candidates for their vacancies in North India, packages for which would be up to Rs 1.20 lacs to begin with. Similarly telecom and electronics companies like Sun Telecom will also scout for 8 professionals for its upcoming assignments in Chandigarh, NCR and Jammu and Kashmir region with packages upto Rs 1.50 lacks per annum, added Sardar Bahra.

 

TCCS business consultancy and FMCG company Surya Foods are other popular names who will participate in 15 day long exercise on Rayat and Bahra campus to assess the strengths of prospective candidates. Infrastructure MNC DS constructions, Eureka Forbes and Bry Air Products will also scrutinize the candidates who will undergo selection process involving pre placement talks, group discussions and final interviews by HR officials of all these companies, said Bahra. The process stretched over a fortnight will help employers have a close look at the students who will have an unprecedented chance to showcase their skills to a galaxy of prospective employers, concluded Bahra.
